From the 25th December to the 31st December 2007 ISKCON Pune conducted their 6th Srimad Bhagavat Saptaha.
The Bhagavad Katha started with a big street Harinamon the 25th through the main streets of Pune, ending at the Ganesh Kala Krida Manch Hall where the evening sessions took place. All the main newspapers in Pune gave good response to this event and was writing articles on the Bhagavad Saptaha every day.

"Tavakathamrittam tapta jivanam
Kavibhiriditam kalmashapaham
sravanmangalam srimatatam
bhuvigrinanti ye bhuridajanah"

In Srimat Bhagavatams 10th canto the gopis who are the top most pure devotees of Lord Krishna prays to him in wonderful verses of glorification of Krishna katha (Talks of Krishna). They pray to the lord that this material world is like a blazing forest fire, every one is burning in it, but Krishna katha is that sweet nectarian rain which cools and converts this world in to Goloka Vrindavana, which is always sweet and nourishing to the hearts of the vaisnavas. It purifies the ears, body and soul of those who attend and those who speaks these katha’s are compared to clouds called ”bhurida janah” -The most pure, magnanimous devotees of the Lord like H.H.Lokanath Swami Maharaja
H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja showered the rain in the form of nectarian kirtans and
heart melting Krishna katha. Every year during Christmas, Pune was flooded with Krishna katha and everyone present dived deeply into the nectarian ocean of the Holy Name manifested by our most merciful Lokanath Swami Maharaja. All Glories to the pure soul of the Lord.
As rightly said by Srila Prabhupada “Our Lokanath Swami is ISKCON’s Saint Tukaram” (Saint Tukaram was a Great Saint and devotee poet from Maharashtra)

For 7 days H.H.Lokanath Swami in his wonderful way delivered the amazing past times of Lord Gauranga Maha Prabhu in the morning and Lord Krishna’s past times in the evening.
In the morning Maharaja spoke from Caitanya Charitamrita on how to concentrate on chanting the Holy Name and of the famous Sikshatakam verses by Gauranga MahaPrabhu.
.
In the evening Maharaja spoke from Srimad Bhagavatam and of the special importance of
hearing Srimad Bhagavatam in this age of kali. Lokanath Swami narrated the Gajendra moksha lila, the samudra manthan (churning of the milk ocean), the Mohini avatar lila and concluded with the Vamana deva lila. Charitamrita
It is very difficult for me to express the deep profound impressions and satisfaction that the words of Lokanath Maharaja gave me and to explain the power and sweetness of his kirtans. This year there was also many beautiful and interesting dramas and dance performances after the evening Katha. These things are to be experienced with you own ears and eyes. They are to be understood directly by you own hearts, minds, and soul. Luckily we have recordings of the Katha in our media services LOK-Media.
This year 3500-4000 persons attended the Bhagavat saptaha every evening and the hall was over flooded with sweet emotions every night. Devotees from Denmark, Poland, Croatia, New Zealand, United states of America and many more countries visited Pune and so many people benefited by this program.

We hope to see you also next year same time same place.
Hare Krishna to you all.
