From a report by H.G. Urukrama Das
Padayatra Slovenia began on June 25, 2007 in Selitev. Approximatly 30 devotees walked around two weeks until reaching their final destination, Ljutomer, on July 7, 2007. During the walking festival, Slovenia devotees were fortunate to attract the mercy of such transcendental luminaries as His Holiness Lokanath Swami Maharaja, His Holiness Danavir Goswami Maharaja, His Grace Ananda Svarupa Prabhu who is a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, and also His Grace Hare Krishna Prabhu, the great kirtan singer from Rome, Italy.
Book distribution was plentiful with a total of 1500 pieces of transcendental literatures being distributed.
In two major local newspapapers, distributed daily in that part of Slovenia, Padayatra generated favorable publicity in two newspaper articles. A local television station made a five minute report about the Padayatra including an interview with Lokanath Swami Maharaja.
