Dearest Guru Maharaja

Hare Krishna!
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.

Devotees in Singapore were overjoyed when we heard of your intended visit to
Singapore. It was 15 years since your last visit to Singapore and we could
not believe that at last you have consented to visit Singapore. We prayed
that you will bless us with your visit.

On 26 July 2008, HH Lokanath Swami Maharaja arrived in Singapore via
Malaysia. HG Sukhdev Prabhu and family received him with a patha puja.

On 26.08.08, Maharaja had kirtan and gave a short discourse at the Laksmi
Narayan Mandir to a few hundred devotees, who were rapt with attention to
every word that Maharaja spoke. Many devotees came forward to take the
blessings of Maharaja after the class.

On the 27.08.08, it was Rathayatra at the Vishnu Dairy Farm, Singapore style
(because we were not permitted to conduct it on public roads). It was a cow
farm. Maharaja lead the Rathayatra with ecstatic kirtan that had everyone
jumping and dancing. It was a glorious day for us to have Maharaja grace
this occasion. Maharaja gave a short discourse on their Lordships
Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra followed by more kirtan.

Here are some of the comments that we received from the devotees:

"Hearing Maharaja on CDs and through lectures is one thing but seeing and
hearing in person is so transcendental"

"Seeing and hearing Maharaja we feel so complete and ecstatic. Hope Maharaja
will come again to give us his association"

"Is Maharaja staying in the Western countries? The way he talks is so
special, his English is fluent and language is so super"

"Kirtan was so powerful and transcendental and we enjoyed it very much. Hope
to see him again"

As for the immediate disciples of Maharaja, we felt so happy that words
could not describe the happiness. We were so happy to serve him personally
even though he had his servant with him. It was with great awe and reverence
that we served Maharaja. Even with so many instructions given on how to
serve Maharaja, the do's and don't's, when it really came to personally
serving Maharaja, we found that Maharaja is so easily pleased and we got to
know some of the likes and dislikes (Thanks to HG Premananda Prabhu, who was
such a big help when it came to the type of food to cook and patiently
guided us on how to cook it.) Maharaja's stay has helped us to observe the
glimpses of his way of sadhana that gave us a boost to our spiritual life.
In Maharaja's close presence we could feel the divine energy flowing to all
of us and we really feel at peace for the short 3 days that Maharaja was
present with us.

In honor of Maharaja's Vyasa Puja, the disciples gave a feast to the
congregation on 03.08.08 (Sun) after the Srimad Bhagavatam class at the Sree
Veeramma Kaliamman Temple.

Dear Guru Maharaja, we have the good fortune to be counted as disciples and
aspiring disciples and we desire to serve you. We pray for your mercy, your
good health and safety and look forward to your visit again.
